The Registrar is calling for an election to fill five Education Council seats and two Board member seats that will become available May 1st

Election - Board Faculty Seat
As a result of the recent nomination period, we are moving forward with an election for the College Board Faculty seat. Candidate statements are below. The election will take place April 23rd and 24th.
Frizzell, Garth
Thank you for considering me to represent you. I have been a faculty member since 2017, teaching Entrepreneurship, Economics, Business Law and Computer Information Systems. Since 2008 I have also been an elected member of Prince George City Council, where I currently chair the Intergovernmental Relations Committee.
Our College is facing a difficult road ahead. Dropping enrollment has already lead to program cancellations and layoffs of faculty, staff and management. I was the faculty-elected representative to fill in from January to April of 2025, and in my first meetings I saw the work ahead and need for all of us to be represented. Having experienced the board, I would like to now offer to be at the table for you for a full term.
Nnane, Daniel
The College of New Caledonia is at a critical juncture, and threats to our rights are palpable. And decisions made by the executive would have lasting and far-reaching consequences on faculty. Thus, there is a need for a brilliant strategist to help shape these decisions. As one of us, with extensive teaching experience gained at colleges and universities in Canada, the UK, China, and Cameroon, I have honed the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively represent our collective interests and contribute to the strategic direction of CNC at this time.
My varied academic background and significant experience provide me with an excellent understanding of the challenges we face as faculty. I shall vigorously advocate for our needs and ensure that our shared goals, values, priorities, perspectives, and concerns are considered in decision-making processes. I shall ensure that CNC remains the “Place to be” for both faculty and students. My passion for hard-work and excellence, makes me ideally suited to successfully serve on the Board.
Paraphrasing Sir Churchill, I shall defend to the death our rights, whatever the cost may be; I shall not flag or fail; I shall never surrender.
Voting Information
Voting opens Wednesday, April 23rd and closes Thursday, April 24th at 11:59pm. Voting will be conducted online via Survey Monkey.

Elected members will be posted on Friday, April 25th.
